Since the last time we spoke, your resume has grown double triple. Who are you working with now?

Yeah i gotta keep it movin homie. Sometimes i think that i wont ever stop! haha But yeah its keeps growin by the day. I was working with Flip on his album but i think hes pretty much wrapping that up. In my opinion, its gunna be his best album yet. Not just caused i produced alot of it but because i can listen to it start to finish and there is only a hand full of cds i can do that with. Now im workin on buildin my resume with other artist. I dont wanna speak too much on it but “The Best Rapper Alive” is in the works!

Damn homie thats huge news!! For those who dont know. How did you hook up with lil flip’s clover g label?

I met Flip through a camera man. He was doing some stuff for me and him at tha same time so he linked us up. I did a couple of beats for him and in return he did a verse for me on “Coola Den A Fan”. Well he liked it so much that he wanted to sign me and we just went from there.

Have you freestyled against him yet?!?

Haha naw i cant say that i have.

Your sound is a mixture of Atlanta and Houston. Who were your influences coming up as far as production wise?

Aw man, this list goes on and on. I can do ANY type of beat tho. From techno to R&B to rock to country! The stuff that i have released so far is songs that i know will grab peoples attention. I have alot of other styles of music that i wont release until later on in my career.

How does the music scene in Bryan, TX differ from the scene in Houston or Dallas?

Well tha music scene down here isnt big at all. Im the first to go this far. Houston and Dallas have ALOT more people really thinkin outside the box.

You had a huge following with the “Cant do it like me” song. How did you react when you first saw Soulja Boy who had the biggest hit last year, dancing to it?

To tell you the truth, it shocked me cause most of his success started from other people dancing to HIS music and here he is dancing to MINE!

If there is one artist you would like to work with who would it be?
 

It would have to be Jay-Z. I mean, tha man is a living legend!

There is a line of several hispanic artists that have done it big including SPM, Big Pun, Baby Bash, Fat Joe, and Lil Rob. What will you bring to the rap game to fit in that line?

Im plan on makin a different type of impact on tha music scene. I wanna hit it from every angle. But i look up to all of them cause they set new standards for hispanics in tha industry for people like me to move in.

Now that you have a record deal. What is a typical day for you?

Its mostly just music for me. I spend a whole lotta time producing. I have to make sure that when people need beats that they are available.

With the Clover G deal I bet you gotta deal with haters now huh! (Lmao at haters!)

haha! Yeah but you learn to appreciate them cause people dont talk about you when your a nobody. Good or bad.

With the distribution deal that flip got. Will your album be on Clover G/asylum or Clover G/ elsewhere?

Really there is no tellin. The way things change on a day to day for me, i really couldnt say.

When does “Cooler than a fan” your debut LP drop?

Im waitin on the right time to drop it. When my buzz is at a place where i think it should be then thats when ill hit em with it.

Do you plan to start your own label in the future?

Yeah i actually have my own label called Shineblakk Ent. Ive kinda froze everything for right now until im at a place in my career where i can bring my artist out successfully.

Flip went back to the indies for his latest album. Has he given you alot of game about major and indie labels?

Yeah hes given me a few here and there but i get alot of game from Gudda. We talk a whole lot about music in general.

With you being so tight with Gudda from Sqad Up. Is there truth to the rumor that you are going to be producing his entire solo album?

If he wants me to then i damn sho will. Ive done alot of work with him in the past and there is alot more ahead i can promise you that.

Besides the music game, do you plan to expand your hustle into acting, or fashion, or ringtones, or DVD’s and shit like that?

Oh yeah. Music is going to be my way in to ALOT of other businesses. Most likely all of the above.
